It's bird time again

How's this for a handsome fellow?

Yes, I know it's only a wood pigeon and that they're a common as muck, but look at the lovely subtle colours and the alert look in his eye.

I'm pretty pleased with this photo, which is why I'm showing it off here. This chap has recently discovered our bird table which meant I could get pretty close for a decent snapshot.
