Cousin Dave Wins A Prize: Daily(ish) Millbrook readers partly to blame.

Millbrook's favourite artist has just called to give his exciting news about the warm glass competition which so many of you kindly logged onto in order to cast a vote or three for the talented yet slightly shop-soiled one. Here's Dave stroking, not an award, but a nice piece of rock that he took a fancy to during a walk along by Penlee a year ago:


He's been awarded third prize - that's pretty decent out of eighty odd entries! Your votes helped to get him into the final five to be judged by the panel of warm glass experts and he now gets some excellent kudos in the world of artistic academe. He also gets a copy of Warm Glass: A Complete Guide to Kiln-Forming Techniques by Philippa Beveridge, which I'm sure will delight him no end as bed time reading.

Cousin Dave has asked me to say a big thank you to all of you who took the time to vote for his work in the competition; I'll join him in that. Cheers!
