Young Russell of the Devon and Cornwall Inn, Millbrook's own wizard of the kitchen, has started promulgating (what a great word) an e-newsletter all about what's happening in everyone's favourite watering hole.

What do you mean it's not your favourite watering hole? You either live miles and miles from Millbrook or you have no soul.
Anyway - I'm sure this will make fascinating reading to anyone who might think about a decent pint or a yummy meal in Millbrook; I'm almost equally sure that Russell won't mind me stealing copy to fill up these pages.
So here's the highlights from The Devon and Cornwall's April Newsletter:

External Re-decoration of The Devon and Cornwall Inn is planned to commence on Tuesday May 4th.
Friday for Fish! – Our first Friday for Fish specials board on Good Friday went very well. Thank you to all those who parttook (participated?). It was a ‘good’ Friday!
Your Opinion Counts cards – impending action as a result of some of the comments received – with thanks!:
Ladies Toilets – some changes being made……
Sunday Afternoon Music – being discussed …….
Quiz Night – More writing space for ½ time round sheets.
Removing the settee from the bar area – new table in place!
The Menu – Recently updated with a revised lunchtime offer, to reflect the warmer (!!) weather, with some new salad additions ‘hot’ and cold!

May 1st Saturday from 10am

Free flower- arranging workshop in the beer garden, with Jeanette Rowe. Snacks and hot drinks for sale.
Basket Meals – being introduced for the bar and beer garden, to start on Saturday May 1st.
May 3rd Bank Holiday Monday - Black Prince Day:
Open from 10am for breakfast with the Bar open from 11am. Serving lunch from 12pm
Changes to the draught offer at the bar – an additional ‘guest’ real ale, and the arrival of the Dutch Beer – Amstel
Looking ahead……
June 3rd Thursday, - Wreckers Morris. From 7.30pm, the annual get-together of the Morris Dancers group, will be entertaining us both in the pub, and in West Street, in their own inimitable style throughout the evening. A good night, even more so if the weather holds up.
