Ah yes, even though it's only February the extremely mild conditions (sorry, Northern folk - it really is very mild here in Cornwall) mean our small feathered companions are all very excitable. Early breeding behaviours are abounding with robins singing at their territory boundaries and jackdaws carrying nesting materials around.
Out for a walk on Sunday afternoon, Mrs The Millbrooker and I spotted this delightful wee fellow giving it welly from his perch.
He's a stonechat, not wildly uncommon - but not over-abundant either. A nice little treat.
