Fascinating words part 2

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I thought I'd share a terrific word that found whilst idly flicking through the dictionary before Christmas. It's not so much that the word itself is wonderful, but that there is a word for what it is at all.

The word is "thible".

It is a noun and it is a stick that is used for stirring porridge.

I think the world is a better place for there being thibles in it.

anyway, isn't "thible" just basils wife with a lisp ?
