Got a spare 20 minutes?

Wandering around the interweb last night, not having a Mrs The Millbrooker to talk to, I came across this video. It's about twenty minutes long, so you'll need to set aside a bit of time if you're going to watch it. I recommend very highly that you do.

It's called "The Story of Stuff" and is presented by Annie Leonard. She's American, but we'll excuse her that because she's one of those rare creatures: a right thinking, intelligent American.

As we're approaching Christmas (and I really don't want to put a downer on it), it's worth thinking on the points she makes about "stuff" and asking yourself how much cheap tat you need in your life.

So, if you've got a spare 20 minutes or so and you're remotely concerned about environmentalism and/or over-consumption - do please click on the link below. It takes a short while to load, but it is worth it. Annie Leonard puts a fine case in an engaging way and has a few new angles on the whole issue.
