Gigspanner Tickets Go On Sale

Attention all rabid Gigspanner fans (and I know there's more than a few of you in the Daily(ish) Millbrook's area). Another email has found its way to my inbox from the lovely Deborah.

Tickets are now on sale for what is bound to be the event of the year in this neck of the woods.

I can't harp on about Peter, Roger & Vincent endlessly, but you have to trust me on this one - you really do want tickets and you really don't want to miss out.

For irregular or new readers who've somehow missed my moderately frequent banging on about Gigspanner visiting our little corner of Cornwall - the band comprises Peter Knight, fiddler extraordinaire of Steeleye Span fame, Roger Flack playing guitar with panache and exceptional technique and Vincent Salzfaas providing African influenced percussive rhythms.

04th and 05th July

GIGSPANNER

At Kingsand Community Hall

You can get your tickets now by clicking on the link to Peter Knight's website:http://www.peterknight.net/tickets.htm

Tickets are £10 a pop (money fabulously well spent) and there's a £1.50 postage/packing fee for each order; so bundle all your ticket requirements into one order if you can. These dates are going to sell out. The word isn't really out and about yet, but once the publicity gets started tickets might be good deal harder to come by: buy yours now (or at least very soon) and remember to tell them The Millbrooker sent you! (No I'm not on commission, but I might get a beer out of them).

They use Paypal, so if you're an ebayer you probably already have an account. If you don't have an account you can still pay through Paypal on the link above using any major credit card.

If any of the usual suspects want me to order tickets for them like last year - that's not a problem, just let me know as soon as possible (don't forget to tell me which date you want).

Personally, I'm desperately trying to get a day off or to swap shifts (a difficult job this far ahead) for either of the dates as I'm rostered to work lates on both nights - BAH! I'll be there at one of them by hook or by the other thingy.

Here's YarMatt and yours truly each getting an armpit's worth of the great Mr Knight during the interval at last year's tremendous gig:

A review of last year's event is at http://themillbrooker.blogspot.com/2007/06/gigspanner-did-their-stuff.html and there's still a set of photos from then on the complete photosets link at the top right of the page.

Hi Joshua, One ticket for me please if you would be so kind, for the same date as yourselves.
There is a beer here called Bluetongue, I will bring you a bottle and see if it has any effect.
Cheers Frankenkeith
