An article well worth reading

I'm just idling this morning after Mrs The Millbrooker and I enjoyed a night's indulgence of our penchant for a decent Bordeaux in the company of Dong and Shazzerooneypoos.

As I'm just idling, I've been flicking through assorted pages on the interweb and found an article written from a dispassionate and informed angle about the roots of the current "war on terror" and the attitudes and posturing taken up by each side.

Does the article tell a whole truth? Make up your own minds, but it certainly examines the meaty issue of US foreign policy with a sharp eye and an enquiring mind. It's most certainly not an apologist piece for the Islamic world, far from it, but it doesn't pull any punches from the West either.

Here's the link - it was published in 2005, but this is the first time I've seen it; it's a fairly long piece, but for the politically minded amongst us it might prove a very interesting read...
