A Mild Diversion

In the dear old D&C the other night, Dong lifted a beer mat from a neighbouring table.

In itself this is not particularly unusual, after all there's a professional interest from the great beer mat distributor of our times.

The beer mat, though, was a tad unusual. Perhaps I'm the last to see them and this is a very old joke; no matter, I thought it was highly amusing. But then sometimes my sense of humour can veer toward the unsophisticated end of the spectrum.

Just in case you were wondering, the mat is advertising Fentiman's ginger beer, which is presumably not obtained from beneath the skirts of a Victorian lady.
