A Day of Dance For Your Diary

This year is the Wreckers Morris' tenth birthday. I've only been spending time with them since June this year, but some of their hardier souls have been dancing the streets of Cornwall and elsewhere for a hundred and twenty months.

To celebrate, the Wreckers are being joined by nine (count 'em) other sides for a daytime dance session (undoubtedly followed by music, bonhomie and mayhem) throughout Kingsand and Cawsand on Sunday the 15th.

According to my info sheet we start at the Rising Sun in Kingsand and then visit the twin-villages' watering establishments in turn ending up at The Cross Keys in Cawsand for a "massed dance"; we could be looking at around a hundred dancers on parade.

The exact start time remains a mystery to me, but I'd make a fair guess at something like 10-1030. If in doubt just follow the melodeon music as it drifts through the streets.

There will be a barbecue lunch available courtesy of Rame Gig Club and they'll also be offering gig rides around the bay at inexpensive rates.

So - plop this date into your engagement calendar and make sure you're there to enjoy the fun.
