The great Windfarm Debate: An Update

Surprisingly to me, my posting about the proposal for a wind farm above St John and close to Millbrook has resulted in almost entirely positive feedback.

Some perfectly reasonable opposing opinion as well, but mostly the people who've decided to respond to my stuff have said they broadly agree. All comments received on this blog can be viewed by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom of the article. There are also some positive comments on Facebook, but only signed and sealed friends can read those. Unless you're one of them, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Mrs The Millbrooker left a comment and, more importantly, this link which leads to a PDF file:

So if anyone wants for information about "performance, subsidy and environmental impact", I can only suggest following the link to better data than I could hope to provide.

I live not all that far away from a windfarm, Te Apiti. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Te_Apiti_Wind_Farm
Locals living much closer seem to be quite proud of it. The huge turbines are certainly a spectacular sight and not noisy, as you point out.
