Anyone who walks along Millbay Road in Plymouth as often as I do will be familiar with the old grain tower dominating the view over Millbay Docks.
Over the last few weeks demolition work has finally reduced this landmark to rubble. It wasn't ever of great architectural merit and it had long since ceased to have any use. Nonetheless I can't help but feel a pang that another piece of local history is no more.
Here's a couple of shots showing the demolition work in progress and almost completed.
