I rather like it, so as I have absolutely nothing else to blog about today - here it is:
"There's No One As Irish As Barack O'Bama" by Hardy Drew and The Nancy Boys (The Corrigan Bros); based on the truth that young B.O. (great initials to give your boy there, Mr and Mrs Obama) had a great-great-great grandfather from Moneygall. I like this...
You can find the lyrics, if you really want to by clicking here (where there's also a copy of the video).
For anyone interested here's a little background:
"Moneygall is a small village in County Offaly , Ireland . It has a population of approximately 300 people, has a Roman Catholic church, five shops, a post office, a national school, a police station and two pubs.
President-elect of the United States Barack Obama's great-great-great grandfather, Falmouth Kearney, emigrated from Moneygall to New York City at the age of 19 in 1850 and eventually resettled in Tipton County , Indiana .
Kearney 's father had been the village shoemaker, then a wealthy skilled trade."
