Everyone's aware that probably the biggest swindler in history glories in the appropriate moniker of Bernie Madoff. Here he is just as he was making off with lots and lots of filthy lucre.
I've just learned that the suspected middle man in Madoff's "enterprise" is called Ezra Merkin. 
You couldn't make it up.
