A Brief Game of "Whose Shoes?"

Mrs The Millbrooker and I spent a very short time on Christmas morning at the D&C. Russell and Mark had kindly asked us to join them for a drink and some nibbles before opening time and jolly nice it was, too.

Russell poured a choice of Buck's Fizz, ordinary fizz or a cocktail involving angostura bitters and Demerera sugar and bubbly stuff. We both played safe with a large Fucks Bizz each (who knows what a Russell cocktail might do to the Christmas dinner preparations that still had to be completed?)

Here are Millbrook's favourite publicans and all round good-guys on Christmas morning doing what they do best (and very well), playing mein host from their bar. Mark (right) was, as always, most anxious that his chin(s) shouldn't be brought to anyone's attention; I must assure him that I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing.Russell also supplied some of his yummy honey and mint glazed sausages and a delicious selection of finger food. Mmm, mmm, mmmm.

Unsurprisingly, many of the Millbrook glitterati were also present and (mostly) correct. But now we'll play a little game of "Whose Shoes?".

Who might possibly wear a set of plate coverings like these? And take a butcher's at the soles - they've got a picture on! Are you jealous yet, Shazzerooneypoos? Oh, there's a clue - it's not Little Lush Lewis.Ok - before the big reveal, a thank you to Russell and Mark for their hospitality. Now, here's the shoe-model extraordinaire.....
