After last week's enjoyable spy related hokum of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (with obligatory instructions to self not to think of Alec Guinness), we stay with English language film this week. Albeit in a completely different genre.
This week's presentation will be the 1981 Karel Reisz release The French Lieutenant's Woman.
Never seen it, myself. Mrs The Millbrooker says the novel upon which it's based is very fine indeed and that the film is pretty damned good, too. I'm looking forward to finding out for myself.
Hope to see all the film clubbers at the usual time and in the usual place.
